On February 12, 2025, Longfellow presented two additional alternatives to the original plan. The best option was Alternative 2, with a size of 2.86 million square feet. Stop Redwood Life supported Alternative 2 with the stipulation of increasing setbacks and lowering building height on Marine Parkway.
The Alternative 2 is still too MASSIVE AND NEEDS FURTHER SHRINKAGE!!
The following are changes in Alternative 2 from the original 3.3 million sq ft plan:
- Remove two buildings N7 and N12
- Combine N4 and N5
- Reduce life science by 459,000 SF
- Reduce building heights at the high point site
- Increase building setbacks from the SE property line (to 105 FT)
- Increase building setbacks from Slough (to 160 FT)
- Move Longfellow lane
- Lower garage height, reduces size and moves away from property line
- Increase greenway width and public open space (35 acres)
We require further changes to the Alternative 2!!
